The World at Night, Spectacular photographs of the night sky

See the full beauty of our night sky revealed as never before in about 200 photographs from around the world.

A long waiting project comes to life. I spent a long time writing and preparing “The World at Night” book which is now ready to pre-order world-wide (see below for links) and will be released in November 2019 by White Lion Publishing. The English version will be translated to various languages. German, French, and Japanese release this fall too and Chinese is in progress. The hardback book includes behind the scene stories and in-depth astronomy information of 200 featured night sky photographs from across the globe, taken by myself and our highly accomplished TWAN team. Most of them are fresh images taken in the past few years. This is the most diverse finely selected collection of such images ever published together. They are authentic true photographs of the night sky produced by the most experienced team spread in 20 countries. Be astounded by the lights of the night sky in some of the darkest places on earth; discover the beauty of planets and stars; view great celestial events; and see some of the world’s most important landmarks against the backdrop of an incredible nightscape.

I created The World at Night (TWAN) program in 2007 by bringing together the world’s best nightscape photographers at that time. In 2009 we published our first book in Germany. The editions were German, Dutch, and Japanese. We never published the English version, waiting for a proper publisher able to do this for a larger audience that let share the messages of TWAN photography with readers across the globe.
